Don’t forget the poor children

A Christmas commercial that aired in Sweden (but spoken in English, as nearly all Swedes speak English), displayed Santa Claus opening a box of medical supplies that were going to be distributed to Africa. In satirical fashion, Santa prominently states that he “doesn’t do poor countries,” and therefore people should purchase gifts from UNICEF in order to ensure that less fortunate children receive the greatest gift this Christmas–Life!

The underlying message to this UNICEF commercial may be that ALL people, even poor children in Africa, deserve free basic health care.

This Christmas, please help those who are less fortunate than yourself, whether they are children in poor countries or in wealthy ones.
